The Ministry of Civil Aviation’s main initiative, Yatri Sewa Diwas 2025, has been formally inaugurated. The goal of the program was to improve the traveler experience at Indian airports.
The program, which was unveiled at Hindon Airport in Ghaziabad by Civil Aviation Minister Shri Rammohan Naidu, aims to improve airport services, passenger convenience, and employment inclusion for air travel.
The program reflects India’s ambition to create a world-class aviation environment by focusing on women travelers under the Swastha Nari program, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan, as well as first-time fliers and digitization opportunities.
Features of the Women-Centric Approach to Yatri Sewa Diwas 2025:The “Swastha Nari, Sashakt Parivar” program, which is linked to Yatri Sewa Diwas, involves health camps and awareness campaigns at airports to motivate travelers—particularly women—to get regular checkups and adopt healthier lifestyles.
Indian Aviation’s Passenger Growth: The country’s aviation sector has more than doubled in the last ten years, indicating a growing demand for air travel.
Airport Infrastructure Development: Under these programs, new flights and destinations have been added to smaller airports like Hindon, which in 2020 had just one destination. Regional connectedness is facilitated by such activities.
Digital India Integration: Plans call for Wi-Fi to be accessible at every airport for the benefit of travelers.
All of the country’s airports host blood drives, cultural events, and awareness campaigns as part of their community engagement efforts.
In conclusion
Launched nationwide on September 17th, Yatri Sewa Diwas 2025 brought about a change in India’s nascent “Passenger First” aviation policy. In order to give the industry the much-needed public image, this project increases digital services, airport infrastructure, and passenger comfort. It marks the beginning of India’s transition to an inclusive and reasonably priced air transportation system, positioning the country as a passenger-first aviation state on the global stage.
