If you’ve booked your first flight online and are wondering what to do on the day of travel, here are some quick tips to help you confidently navigate the airport.

Air travel is universally recognized as the safest mode of transportation, and the airport process is so well organized that you’ll soon realize it’s not a maze after all!

Booking your ticket through a travel agent can also be helpful, as they often take care of the finer details and ensure a smoother journey.

🌍 For International Flights

It’s recommended that you arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before departure. Keep your passport and ticket copy handy as you enter the terminal. After initial verification, proceed to your airline’s check-in counter, where you can hand over your check-in baggage and receive your boarding pass.

Next, join the queue for Immigration, where your passport and visa will be checked. After that, proceed through Customs (if applicable) and then to security screening, where you and your hand baggage will be scanned.

Once done, make your way to the boarding gate mentioned on your boarding pass and wait for the boarding announcement.

Upon arrival at your international destination, go through Passport Control, where your passport and visa will be verified again. Then, collect your checked baggage from the baggage claim area, proceed through Customs, and exit to the arrivals hall.

The process is much simpler for domestic travel, as Immigration and Customs are not required. Simply check in at your airline counter, drop off your luggage (if any), go through security screening, and proceed to your boarding gate.
