European aerospace giant Airbus has reached a monumental milestone, surpassing 16,000 aircraft deliveries in its latest performance update. This achievement underscores the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality aircraft to its global customer base.
Key Highlights from Airbus’s Latest Update
As of March 7, 2025, Airbus has delivered a total of 16,028 aircraft since its inception.- The 16,000th aircraft, an A321neo, was delivered to British low-cost airline Jet2 through a lease arrangement with ICBS Leasing.
- In February 2025, Airbus delivered 40 aircraft to 25 customers, including Delta Air Lines, China Eastern Airlines, British Airways, and Air France.
- The company also received 14 new orders in February 2025, comprising six A321neos from Korean Air and eight A321neos from an undisclosed customer.
Airbus’s Delivery Outlook for 2025
According to Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury, the company is targeting around 820 commercial jet deliveries in 2025, representing a 7% increase over the previous year’s deliveries.
